Nation of Advocation

One of the best deeds that we can do is advocate Islam and the message of Allah and the Prophet (PBUH) to others. Allah has stated in the Quran that nothing is better than those that do the right deeds and show the right meaning of Islam to others. This has to be done in a sincere and patient way. One of the things that the nation is praised for is that they don’t keep the message to themselves, but share it with others and try to guide others to the right path. We try to help others avoid unethical behaviors and actions that Allah doesn’t want us to do. In the Quran, Allah has explained it is the best nation for the people because we don’t only care about ourselves, but we also care for others; while other nations only try to do what is best for themselves and don’t put in the effort to spread their message as much as Islam. Helping our other human brothers is one of the biggest differences between our nation and other nations.

Such an act has a continuous award from Allah as long as we keep spreading the message. Delivering the message of Allah requires wisdom and a well thought of plan.

An example of this is when the Sahaba [companions of the Prophet (PBUH)] recited and spread the Hadiths among others. Abu Hurairah, one of the Prophet’s (PBUH) companions, gets rewarded everytime we speak of and spread the message he has told us because he initiated it. Everytime one benefits from a message being spread, the one that explains the message gets rewarded. One that is advocating for our nation must be knowledge and convincing when it comes to spreading information.

One of the reasons why several other nations are lost is because they have stopped advocating for their religions. It is important to always ask and convince people to do the right thing and avoid doing any evil acts/haram deeds. Some ways that we can help advocate for our religion is by telling people to pray in time, to be good with their neighbors, not to steal, not to cheat, not to lie, etc. Convince people to stop backbiting each other and fighting. A major reason why the previous nations have gotten lost/destroyed is because they stopped advising people to spread the message and stop bad deeds. They would selfishly only think about themselves and not put in the effort of spreading their own relgion’s message and helping their people. Islam is about compassion and caring for others just as much as you care for yourself. We want to be able to gain knowledge and learn messages from Allah and the Prophet (PBUH) and continue to spread this information to our nation. For this reason, our nation is different and inshallah will continue to be different.
