What will happen to those who will break fast without an excuse?

It is a huge mistake. According to a Hadith, they will take a big sin.


What will happen if one has a wet dream during the fasting day?

Nothing will happen to them, for it was not their choice whether or not to let this happen.


What will ruin your fasting?

  • Consuming food or liquids intentionally

  • Smoking

  • Inserting something into the stomach, such as through the nose

  • Substituting eating and drinking by taking injections

  • Sexual intercourse

  • Cupping and likewise a lot of blood donations

  • Menstrual cycle and the period after childbirth for women

  • Intentional vomiting

  • Masturbation

  • Intentionally inhaling incense

  • Kidney dialysis (by changing blood or adding food items) In fact, those suffering from this are not obligated to fast


What is the rule for those who use asthma inhalers?

It will not break your fast because the spray will not reach your stomach.


Are gastroscopies allowed?

It doesn’t break fast unless a nutritious oily substance is placed with the endoscope which will facilitate the entry into the scope. In this case, the fast is considered broken.


Are enema injections allowed to be injected?

No, it will not break fast if it is in the form of medicine rather than food.


Does backbiting/gossip break fast?

It will not break fast, but it will decrease their reward.


If you see somebody eating/drinking during Ramadan unintentionally, should you remind them that they are fasting?

Yes, you should mention it. Their fast will not be broken because they have forgotten.


If someone dies before completing their make-up fasting days, does someone have to make it up for them?

If someone has missed fasting due to traveling or temporary illness; then yes, a surrogate has to make it up for them.
